Digital Archives

The Camden-Rockport Historical Society seeks to tell the story of the natural, social, political, cultural, and economic history of the Camden and Rockport communities from the earliest times to the present. We tell this story primarily through the display of objects that relate to the daily life and activities that have occurred in this area, and we also maintain a large archive of books, maps, documents, photographs, clothing, and other materials that are accessible for research purposes. We take care to avoid duplication of collections housed in other institutions.

We are especially on the lookout for historically accurate 18th and 19th century home furnishings for the Homestead. If you have any of the items below and are wondering what to do with them, please consider a gift to CRHS. We will give them a loving home. We do not provide appraisals but will confirm your gift with a donation receipt.

Late 18th century wing chair
Late 18th century side chairs (2)
Small game table
Antique playing cards
Bucket bench and 3-4 buckets

Candle holders (4)
Small hanging mirror
Hanging needlework sampler
Floor cloth (marble, geometric, floral, or pattern)
Ladderback or thumb back chairs
