Camden Rotary Club Names CRHS for its Centennial Project

The Camden-Rockport Historical Society was honored to receive a significant grant from the Camden Rotary Club (CRC) recently, in honor of the CRC’s 100th anniversary in 2025.

The grant has funded the restoration of a caretaker’s cottage on our grounds, as well as repairs to our museum building. These capital improvements have served to protect and preserve the valuable items in our collection and allow us to display them properly. They have also provided us the opportunity to provide workforce housing to a young couple who will help us maintain the property to our high standards.

Improvements to the cottage were made in the fall of 2024, and a dedication ceremony was held in October.

Repairs to the museum building will begin in March of 2025. This will lead to more interior improvements and a new exhibit in our gallery for the summer season.
