Maine Maple Sunday 2025 Recap
April 1, 2025
2025 Maine Maple Sunday was a fun time for all! Over 200 visitors to the CRHS campus saw buckets and jugs on our maple trees, watched the sap being cooked in our 1820s syrup shack and tasted the delicious result over ice cream! Other treats like home-made soup and s’mores made in our large “bean hole” were also enjoyed while listening to traditional fiddle music in our museum gallery and viewing our historical photo slide show.
The Homestead was open for tours featuring our own Don Rainville and his assistant Hannah Smith, and the Peabody Blacksmith Shop and barn were open as well. The weather cooperated and everyone had a fine time celebrating a Maine tradition. Special thanks to our expert maple syrup maker Keryn Annis!
